As a QA Manager at a wire-processing factory, you will be responsible for overall quality assurance activities and ensuring product quality from the customer’s perspective.

The QA Manager takes responsibility for quality across the entire product lifecycle.

NOTES:
This role focuses on Quality Assurance (QA) and is different from Quality Control (QC), which is responsible for in-process quality control on the production floor.

■Key Responsibilities
-Oversee quality assurance processes from product planning through mass production and shipment
-Ensure quality considerations in raw material selection and supplier evaluation
-Identify quality issues in manufacturing and surface treatment processes and lead corrective actions
-Lead root cause analysis and develop preventive measures for defects and customer complaints
-Establish, improve, and deploy QA rules, procedures, and standards, and ensure their implementation on the shop floor
-Collaborate closely with QC and manufacturing teams to drive continuous quality improvement
-Supervise and develop QA team members (approximately 2 staff)
-Report quality issues, progress, and risks to the Japanese management

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
-Lower-intermediate level of English
-Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement
-Hands-on experience in establishing or improving QA processes (not just maintaining existing ones)
-Experience working closely with manufacturing operations to resolve quality issues
-Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
-Experience in mid-sized manufacturing companies is preferred over experience in large companies with fully established systems

Preferred qualification:
Background in metal processing, surface treatment (coating, plating), or parts manufacturing

NOTES:
This is not a Quality Control position which focuses on the production line. At this company's QC position, the role covers "the entire lifecycle" from raw material selection and product planning to final sales and customer satisfaction.
