JOB DETAIL
- Implement and achieve the factory’s quality objectives in alignment with the company’s quality policy.
- Perform Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities throughout the production process.
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with production requirements.
- Review, approve, and control quality-related documents such as SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), specifications, and production records.
- Control, maintain, and calibrate measuring and testing instruments used for quality inspection, such as grammage, thickness, softness, strength, and water absorption.
- Prepare and report product quality results to customers, including handling customer quality complaints.
- Control, review, and approve corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) arising from quality issues.
- Be responsible for ensuring tissue paper product quality meets customer requirements and defined standards.
- Conduct internal quality audits, audit external contractors or suppliers (Outsource / Supplier), and evaluate their performance.
- Possess knowledge and be able to apply international quality and environmental management standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Demonstrate strong skills in quality data analysis, problem-solving in production processes, and continuous quality improvement.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing Technology, Paper Industry, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) in an industrial manufacturing environment.
(Experience in tissue paper or converted paper manufacturing will be an advantage.)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the tissue paper manufacturing process, from raw materials (pulp), production, converting, to finished goods.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and international standards such as ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), and ISO 45001 (OH&S).
- Experience in quality system documentation control, including SOPs, WIs, and preparation of documents for audits.
- Experience in controlling and calibrating measuring and quality testing instruments used in the paper industry, such as grammage, thickness, strength, water absorption, and softness.
- Strong ability in quality problem analysis, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Experience in handling customer complaints, quality reporting, and customer coordination.
- Experience in conducting Internal Audits and Supplier Audits.
- Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to analyze quality data.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments such as Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Warehouse.
- Detail-oriented, highly responsible, and able to work effectively under pressure.
