JOB DETAIL

Our client is looking to hire a Marketing Strategist, an individual with a deep passion for marketing and a structured approach to business growth. This individual will have in-depth professional experience and knowledge of the automotive industry (local and regional), having come from an automotive brand or auto-focused agency. Having executed marketing strategies in previous roles, the ideal candidate will be able to acutely devise short-, medium-, and long-term strategies that effectively address each aspect of a brand’s sustainable growth vision. This individual applies real-world experience to theoretical strategies to create approaches that translate into tangible results attributed to key client objectives. Reporting to the Strategy Director, this role will be an important local hire with deep market knowledge and outside-the-box thinking to provide clients with atypical ideas rooted in data and actual executions. This role is client-facing and requires comfort in collaborating, influencing and communicating with internal and external constituencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Vision
• Assist in the strategy development process to establish the appropriate framework for subsequent teams to make suitable contributions to the client project
• Develop a solid foundation of relevant client industries, researching historical and up-to-date current trends to establish the appropriate strategic direction and plan
• Perform in-depth research into cultural trends, opportunities, and appropriate competition to guide strategic recommendations and frameworks
• Spearhead market research to establish detailed consumer profiles that provide information about local consumer behaviours, attitudes, lifestyle, and other relevant insights
• Deep familiarization of client brand, operations, and performance to evaluate the best ways to deliver proposals and strategic thinking to ensure success
• Conduct a creative brief writing process and take the lead on strategic thinking for client campaigns
• Assist creative team to ensure alignment to established strategic vision
• Devise and execute integrated planning sessions and brainstorms with necessary constituents to land on the most comprehensive strategy
• Create brand planning frameworks that are based on client brand positioning and messaging to achieve required objectives

Marketing Execution
• Develop and implement marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, email, etc.)
• Guarantee all marketing materials and communications align with brand identity and messaging
• Implement strategies to achieve stated and stretch brand goals by optimizing resources and taking advantage of precise timing
• Be comfortable in supporting presentations highlighting strategy and execution efficacy
• Generate trust from the client in all aspects of strategy and marketing execution

Team Development
• Collaborate with other external teams to ensure alignment and achievement of business goals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Provide proactive solutions to address client’s challenges and issues
• Work with Accounts and other teams to provide mentorship and motivation in running an efficient and successful project

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

• 4-7 years of marketing and strategic development experience in Thailand and/or Asia
• Proven track record of working on strategy-heavy campaigns, with a tendency to deep dive into research and data collection/analysis
• Deep integrated planning experience with emphasis on data and storytelling
• A passion for analyzing trends and understanding the root causes of growth and success
• In-depth knowledge of marketing strategies and campaign executions confirmed to be best-in-class
• Ability to design and facilitate workshops to generate insights and drive in-depth campaign understanding
• Has expertise in multiple business strategies and research tools, frameworks and methods
• A team player with a desire to drive impact and growth through innovation and atypical ideas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Native Thai fluency and a strong command of business English. Working Chinese language proficiency in business a plus
