- Lead and manage the mechanical design team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality outputs.
- Design machine components and systems using 3D Inventor, SolidWorks, and 2D AutoCAD.
- Create and evaluate machine concepts and provide cost estimations based on customer inquiries.
- Coordinate with customers directly, including attending meetings and site visits, to understand requirements and deliver suitable solutions.
- Plan and manage design and project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
- Work closely with internal departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, and external business partners, to align project goals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering professional development and teamwork.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- At least 3 years of experience in creating machine concepts and estimating machine costs.
- At least 3 years of experience in leading a team in a company that makes machines, and good skills in using 3D design programs like Inventor, SolidWorks, and 2D AutoCAD.
- Can communicate in both Japanese (JLPT N2 up) and Lower-Intermediate of English.
- Can drive a car and visit customers for meetings to receive new inquiries and create machine concepts and cost estimates.
- Experience in planning, design, and project schedules, and can coordinate to follow the plan.
- Good communication skills with Engineers, Purchasing teams, and Nittoku’s Business Partners.
- Experience in project management.
- Strong leadership personality, calm, open to listening to others, and thinks carefully before making decisions.
- Experience in training or working in machine design in Japan is a plus.
- Passionate about machine design, always learning and updating new technology to improve own design work.
