【About Company】
A global retailer specializing in merchandise from a world-famous game franchises is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading store operations, developing team members, and ensuring excellent customer experience aligned with the Pokémon brand.
This role acts as the deputy store leader, overseeing daily operations, merchandising, HR coordination, and event/PR activities, while maintaining high performance and brand standards.
*Shop is expected to be opened in late 2026.
Timeline:

【Job Description】
Team Management & People Development
• Lead, coach, and develop store staff (Sales Executives, Sales Associates, Senior Sales Associates) to deliver exceptional customer experiences
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, and support career development of team members
• Foster strong employee engagement, teamwork, and a positive store culture
Store Operations & Performance Management
• Support the Store Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring store operations to achieve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets
• Oversee daily store operations including sales floor management, inventory control, merchandising, and staffing
• Ensure consistent customer service quality and brand experience across daily operations, events, PR activities, and merchandising initiatives
• Monitor operational KPIs such as sales performance, labor cost, shrinkage, and compliance
Brand Experience & Customer Excellence
• Ensure all staff behaviors align with Pokémon brand standards
• Maintain a welcoming, fun, and high-quality store environment for customers
• Support special events, promotional activities, and collaborations to enhance brand visibility
Sales Executive Support
• Perform Sales Executive duties when required, including customer service, sales operations, merchandising, and basic HR coordination
• Ensure resources are effectively allocated to support store KPIs and operational needs
• Other tasks assigned by company
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
[Requirements]
• Bachelor's degree in Any Field
• Business-Level English Proficiency
• Preferred Japanese or any other foreign language skills but not necessary
• Minimum 5 years of professional working experience
• At least 2 years of team management experience
(experience managing 30+ part-time staff is highly preferred)
• Experience in retail, customer service, or store operations
Skills & Competencies
• Ability to work shift schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to positively influence and motivate team members
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify issues and drive solutions
• Proactive mindset with critical thinking and adaptability
• Experience in retail environments related to IP, character brands, theme parks, or entertainment businesses
