JOB DETAIL
Key Responsibilities:
1. Seasonal Buying & Merchandising Strategy
• Execute seasonal buy in line with OTB & Budget.
• Define product assortment by country, channel, market, platform, and customer profile.
• Participate in seasonal pre-line, kickoff, and tradeshow meetings to ensure product relevance.
• Ensure timely submission of orders and manage the right product mix for each sales channel.
• Analyze historical data, sell-through rates, and consumer trends to guide buying decisions.
• Develop pricing strategy based on competitive analysis and market positioning.
2. In-Season Trading & Inventory Management
• Manage in-season trading decisions to maximize inventory efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Make decisions on promotions, markdowns, stock transfers, and price adjustments.
• Collaborate with planning teams to reforecast sales, inventory, and profit using OTB tools.
• Work closely with Retail & E-Commerce Operations to align promotional and launch strategies.
3. Product Launch & Rollout Execution
• Ensure seasonal rollout aligns with global and SEA regional strategies.
• Track competitor pricing, hero products, and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Plan monthly product launches and align merchandising with sales and marketing teams.
• Oversee banner promotions and campaign execution across offline and online channels.
4. Pre-Season Planning & Budgeting
• Review Sales, Inventory, Profit, and OTB Budgets vs. actual performance with the Channel and Planning Teams.
• Develop data-driven buy plans for future seasons to optimize inventory and profitability.
• Analyze store performance, SKU efficiency, and store grading to determine inventory allocation.
• Work with Visual Merchandising on capacity planning to optimize store space utilization.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Optimization
• Align with Channel, Planning, and Operations teams to drive execution of merchandising strategies.
• Work on process improvements and best practices for efficient buying and allocation.
• Ensure seamless inventory flow across stores, warehouses, and online platforms.
• Track orders, deliveries, and stock levels to ensure product availability.
6. Strategic Analysis & Reporting
• Provide weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports on sales, inventory, and trading performance.
• Lead weekly trading meetings to discuss in-season adjustments and optimization strategies.
• Present seasonal buying plans in monthly and half-yearly global meetings.
• Conduct post-season analysis to refine future strategies and optimize assortments.
7. Leadership & Team Development
• Lead and mentor the Buying & Merchandising Team to drive performance and efficiency.
• Train team members on inventory planning, pricing strategies, and negotiation skills.
• Guide the Analysis Team in conducting deep-dive studies on pricing and promotions.
• Ensure alignment of allocation plans and inventory strategies across all platforms.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2. 5-8 years of experience in buying, merchandising, planning, or retail operations.
3. Background in sportswear, sneakers, or fashion retail is highly preferred.
4. Experience in multichannel retail environments (Offline, E-commerce, Franchise, Wholesale).
5. Hands-on experience in store merchandising, inventory allocation, and product lifecycle management.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
1. Strong Excel & Power BI proficiency (Mandatory).
2. Expertise in OTB planning, inventory forecasting, and sales data analysis.
3. Experience with ERP systems, BI tools, and merchandising planning software.
Strategic & Market Knowledge
1. Strong understanding of Thailand’s retail market, sportswear industry, and consumer behavior.
2. Ability to analyze competitor trends, pricing strategies, and product positioning.
3. Proven expertise in assortment planning, category management, and pricing strategies.
Soft Skills & Leadership
1. Upper-Level to Fluent English Proficiency (Must be able to work with regional/global teams).
2. Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage discussions with senior stakeholders.
3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
4. Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally with different departments.
