- Direct and oversee all Finance & Accounting (F&A) operations to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Lead, manage, and monitor the F&A team to successfully achieve all departmental targets and objectives.
- Partner with other internal departments to proactively address and resolve any F&A-related challenges.
- Act as the primary point of contact and coordinate seamlessly with Global Headquarters (GHQ), Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Singapore, external auditors, and banking partners.
- Design, develop, and implement highly effective working systems and operational workflows.
- Mentor and train team members to continuously enhance their technical and professional competencies.
- Ensure all local agency activities are executed in strict adherence to established GHQ and RHQ guidelines.
- Review and approve payment vouchers prior to final executive management authorization.
- Rigorously analyze and verify Accounts Receivable (AR) balances in preparation for accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Monitor and control Accounts Receivable specifically for both Corporate and Liner business units.
- Oversee the accurate calculation of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WHT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and principal accounts, ensuring all tax submissions to authorities are completed within stipulated timeframes.
- Consolidate business plans from all relevant stakeholders to formulate and propose the comprehensive annual financial budget for executive review and approval.
- Monitor and manage Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) to ensure strict alignment with the approved corporate investment budget.
- Champion and oversee key departmental projects, including Withholding Tax Payable, Container Deposits, and the company ERP initiative.
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow to sustain business operations and ensure adequate organizational liquidity.
- Perform other duties and strategic tasks as assigned by executive leadership.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA and/or CPD is required.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a large-scale F&A team.
- Strong background working in multinational corporate environments with an understanding of global financial frameworks and reporting to overseas HQs.
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken) is required for seamless communication with GHQ/RHQ and international stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in corporate tax, statutory reporting, budget management, and financial analysis within the shipping/logistics industry (preferred but not strictly required).
