- Design and develop refrigeration systems for a variety of applications, including refrigeration, wine chiller, cold rooms, chillers, freezer, and specialist cooling installations.
- Perform heat load and cooling capacity calculations using industry-standard software and manual methods.
- Select appropriate equipment, components, and refrigerants based on application, efficiency, environmental impact, and client requirements.
- Create system schematics, piping diagrams, and detailed CAD drawings for fabrication and installation
- Prepare technical documentation including specifications, equipment schedules, and system performance reports.
- Collaborate with commercial and operation teams to ensure designs align with project timelines, budgets, and operational constraints.
- Provide technical support during production, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, environmental regulations (including F-Gas, ASHRAE, or EN standards), and health and safety legislation.
- Keep up to date with emerging refrigeration technologies and sustainable design practices (including CO₂, and hydrocarbon systems)

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree or above; preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or relate fields
- More than 3 years of experience in Refrigeration systems
- Experience in refrigeration system design (industrial or commercial applications preferred)
- Proficient in heat load calculations and system sizing
- Experience in using design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit (or similar)
- Familiarity with refrigeration controls, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and refrigerant properties.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (BS EN, ASHRAE, F-Gas, PED, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under deadlines
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
