JOB DETAIL

1. Manage and maintain regular contact with airfreight and ocean carriers with a view to minimize overall freight cost and ensure space commitment from carriers and co-loaders are delivered especially during peak seasons.
2. Oversee daily activities of the airfreight and ocean freight business ensuring efficient and effective operation and that the needs of both internal and external customers are met
3. Supervise, manage and provide on-going guidance & training to Operations Specialist
4. Manage the performance of Operation Specialist. This include providing feedback on work performance, assist in conducting performance evaluation and recommend ways to close skills gap.
5. Respond to enquiries and price quotation request from overseas offices and agents ensuring response is timely and effective solutions are offered.
6. Coordinate shipments ensuring orders are delivered on-time and that high level of customer services are provided to both internal and external customers.
7. Review ongoing operating procedures and process, made recommendation to streamline processes & procedures, take corrective action with authorization and escalate as needed.
8. Work closely with Sales Department to conduct joint sales call (every quarter) to gain a better understanding of customer needs with the aim to deliver improved services to customers.
9. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective mariner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
10. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other departments and overseas office to foster aid promotes a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
11. Other duties or project assigned from time to time.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- Matricula degree holder in Operations Management or related discipline.
- IATA diploma, concurrence DG certificate
- An in-depth knowledge of the air & ocean logistics operation
- At least 10 years + of experience in the airfreight and ocean freight industry
- Manage a small team independently
- Knowledge of quality management would be desirable
- Strong organization and coordination skills
- Effective people management skills- supervising, coaching and developing staff
- MS office Suite and Cargowise
- Fluent in written and spoken English, Thai
