JOB DETAIL
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end daily procurement activities with a strong focus on sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendors, suppliers, and contractors for retail store construction, renovation, and shop equipment.
This role supports retail expansion projects across Thailand, ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery in line with expansion timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Operations (Daily Tasks)
- Handle daily procurement activities including PR processing, RFQ/RFP, PO issuance, and delivery tracking
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval matrix, and internal controls
- Coordinate closely with Retail Expansion, Construction, Finance, and Operations teams
2. Vendor / Supplier / Contractor Sourcing
- Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors, suppliers, and contractors related to:
- Retail store construction & renovation
- Interior fit-out, fixtures, furniture, and signage
- Retail equipment (display units, counters, POS furniture, lighting, etc.)
- Maintain an updated approved vendor list (AVL) for retail-related categories
- Conduct vendor comparison, cost benchmarking, and capability assessments
3. Negotiation & Cost Control
- Lead price negotiation and contract discussions to achieve cost savings and budget control
- Prepare price comparison sheets and commercial evaluation reports
- Monitor costs against approved budgets for retail expansion projects
4. Contract & Documentation Management
- Support contract preparation and coordination with Legal / Admin teams
- Ensure contracts, quotations, and agreements are properly documented and filed
- Monitor vendor performance against contractual terms (quality, timeline, cost)
5. Retail Expansion Project Support
- Support new store opening, renovation, and rollout projects nationwide
- Coordinate procurement timelines to align with construction schedules
- Follow up closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure on-time delivery and installation
6. Vendor Performance & Relationship Management
- Monitor vendor KPIs including quality, service level, delivery, and cost competitiveness
- Handle vendor issues, claims, and resolution in a professional manner
- Build long-term partnerships with key retail vendors and contractors in Thailand
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or related fields
- 2–5 years experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing
- Must have experience in retail expansion, retail construction, or store rollout projects
- Strong understanding of the Thailand retail market, local suppliers, and contractors
- Strong vendor sourcing & negotiation skills
- Knowledge of retail construction materials, fit-out, and shop equipment
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight timelines
- Cost-conscious mindset with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Excel and procurement systems (ERP experience is a plus)
- Thai: Native / Fluent, English: Working proficiency (reading contracts & supplier communication)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with nationwide retail expansion projects
- Background in electronics, mobile phone retail, or chain retail business
- Familiar with contractor cost structure and BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
Working Conditions
- Office-based with occasional site visits to retail stores or construction sites
- May require travel upcountry depending on expansion projects
