Job Overview
The Technical Consultant is responsible for activities carried out before a customer is acquired. This role involves close collaboration with sales, service, engineering, and technical support teams to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that address customer needs.
Responsibilities
• Primarily involved in pre-sales activities, with some post-sales responsibilities.
• Attend meetings with potential clients to determine technical and business requirements, ensuring all necessary information is gathered.
• Identify client interests and needs, document requirements, and craft solutions based on gathered information.
• Provide technical consulting, architecture, solutions, and support in a professional manner.
• Deliver presentations, product / solution demonstrations, and conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) activities.
• Create design documentation with technical explanations (e.g., proposals, diagrams, BOM, timelines).
• Understand business drivers and risks for both the customer and Infomina.
• Structure and produce technical proposals according to tender specifications.
• Interface with the implementation / project team to articulate customer requirements and ensure smooth transition from sale to delivery.
• Demonstrate Infomina products and technologies effectively to audiences with varied technical knowledge.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Requirements
• Possess some of the following certifications, knowledge, and skills:
o Experience as a zOS System Programmer or Application on z/OS Architect.
o Knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL).
o Experience with System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E).
o Technical qualifications / certifications in IBM subsystems such as CICS, Db2, MQ are advantageous.
o Knowledge of zOS tools from IBM, CA, BMC, and Compuware is beneficial.
• Strong presentation and writing skills.
• Ability to identify client needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Maintain good rapport with clients.
• Willingness to perform research and self-study.
• Eagerness to learn and explore new technologies.
• Basic knowledge of the sales cycle process.
• Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Preferably a Senior Executive specialized in Sales - Engineering / Technical / IT or equivalent.
• Technical qualifications / certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, ITIL are beneficial.
• Required languages: English, Thai.
