The Production Engineer Manager will oversee the engineering aspects of production operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. The manager will lead a team of engineers and technicians, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

. Production Optimization
• Develop and implement strategies to improve production yield, efficiency, and quality.
• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced performance.
• Collaborate with the Planning division to align production schedules with demand forecasts and resource availability.
2. Equipment and Process Management
• Ensure the maintenance, reliability, and availability of production equipment.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and innovative engineering solutions to enhance production processes.
• Oversee troubleshooting of technical issues, coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
3. Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
• Promote a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with SHE policies and standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with production operations.
• Contribute to reducing safety incidents by implementing preventive measures and corrective actions.
4. Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to achieve departmental goals.
• Evaluate team performance and develop training programs to enhance technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
• Foster collaboration within the team and with other departments such as Quality Control, Planning, and Logistics.
5. Continuous Improvement
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with the company’s operational excellence goals.
• Analyze production data and generate reports to guide decision-making.
• Support cross-functional projects and initiatives, such as sand and trash reduction or energy efficiency programs.

6. Budget Management
• Develop and manage the production engineering budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
• Monitor spending to align with approved budgets and identify areas for cost savings.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field); a master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in production engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the sugar or related manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to monitor performance metrics.
• Familiarity with SHE standards and regulatory requirements in industrial operations.
Leadership Competencies
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to align team goals with organizational objectives.
Other Requirements
• Strong command of both Thai and English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
• Willingness to work flexible hours during peak production periods.
