1. Quality Control Oversight:
· Lead and manage the quality control processes for footwear production to ensure products meet company standards and industry regulations.
· Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and guidelines.
· Ensure all footwear undergoes necessary inspections at various stages of production (pre-production, during production, post-production) to ensure compliance with quality standards.

2. Inspection and Testing:
· Oversee product testing, including fit tests, wear tests, and durability assessments.
· Conduct detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished footwear to identify any defects in stitching, materials, finish, or fit.
· Use both manual and automated inspection tools to measure product dimensions, material strength, and performance.
· Coordinate with external laboratories or testing facilities for more advanced testing (e.g., material analysis, chemical testing).

3. Defect Identification and Problem Solving:
· Identify and document any defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues in products or production processes.
· Work with production, design, and engineering teams to develop corrective actions for quality issues.
· Ensure that any issues found are addressed promptly to avoid delays in production or delivery.
· Track and analyze the root causes of defects, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

4. Quality Improvement and Process Optimization:
· Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality control system and processes to ensure continuous improvement.
· Implement best practices in quality management and recommend process changes that enhance product quality and production efficiency.
· Use quality data to assess trends and identify areas for process improvement.
· Lead initiatives to improve product durability, performance, and aesthetic qualities based on consumer feedback and testing.
· Work with functional dept on projects and initiatives related to quality management
· Drive quality KPIs and Quality System Management using scientific quality management systems and methodologies

5. Team Leadership and Training:
· Manage the quality control team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting performance evaluations.
· Provide training to quality control inspectors and production teams on quality standards, testing methods, and new tools or equipment.
· Foster a culture of quality awareness across the production team, encouraging every team member to focus on producing high-quality products.

6. Compliance and Reporting:
· Ensure that all quality control procedures comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety requirements.
· Prepare detailed reports on quality audits, testing results, non-conformities, and corrective actions for senior management.
· Keep up-to-date with global standards and certifications for quality control in the footwear industry (e.g., ISO, ASTM standards).

7. Documentation and Record Keeping:
· Maintain thorough records of inspections, testing results, quality issues, and corrective actions.
· Ensure proper documentation of quality assurance processes for traceability and future reference.
· Prepare regular quality reports for management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.

8. Customer Feedback and Warranty Claims:
· Review and analyze customer feedback related to product quality and Collaborate with the customer service team and product development team incorporate feedback and resolve any issues or complaints.
· Oversee the investigation of warranty claims related to product quality and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to address customer concerns.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field or certifications in quality management or quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) are highly desirable.
· 5+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the footwear or manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
· Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing processes and product specifications.
· Experience with product testing and quality assessment techniques.
· Proficient in quality management systems and tools (e.g., statistical process control, root cause analysis).
· Experience with quality control software and database management.
· Knowledge of global quality standards and regulations for footwear products.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and management.

Working Conditions:

· Typically based in a production or factory environment.
· Occasional travel may be required to visit suppliers or other production sites.
