JOB DETAIL

Department: Sales & Marketing
Number of Subordinate: Revenue & Reservation Team & Sales Teams (14-15staffs)
Report to General Manager/Owner (Thai)

GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB:
- Responsible for managing, planning, directing, controlling, and coordinating sales of rooms and banqueting including formulating, developing, and implementing marketing plans & strategies to achieve profitable revenue at the highest possible yield and ensure that the hotel projects a unified image.
- Responsible for keeping the management abreast of all key facts, developments, and objectives of sales operations as well as trends in the local and international markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed recommendations of Sales Strategies and Policies that are appropriate for the existing market situation for the short, medium, and long term having properly analyzed the hotel market environment.
- Prepare the annual Sales & Marketing Plan for the entire hotel which includes advertising direct mailing, community relations, Public Relations, and internal promotion as well for F&B and the HC in conjunction with the department head concerned.
- Create, coordinate, and implement all relevant operational manuals for the Sales & Marketing department and prepare the training schedule accordingly.
- Monitor all costs in the sales department. Recommend and instigate measures to control these expenses at all times.
- Keep management informed of actual performance through periodical reports as specified.
- Keep management informed of problems, variances from implemented plans and proposed steps being taken to remedy variances and problems.
- Responsible for the development of the incentive, conference, and seminar market.
- Maintain personal contact with key clients and accounts in all segments to remain active and aware of the market's information as well as soliciting business.
- Train, implement, and monitor yield management measures and be aware of hotel REVPAR on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis and use this tool to select appropriate business according to season.
- Surveys rate structures of competing markets and competitors and proposes new rate structures to the General Manager for discussions whenever deemed necessary.

ADMINISTRATION:
- Prepares and supervises preparation of Monthly Sales & marketing Reports, market analysis, results of special programs, objectives in REVPAR, and other activities relevant to sales and Marketing to Management.
- Ensures that all company policies, rules, and regulations are observed and enforced at all times.
- Plans, Initiates and executes all Sales and Marketing, PR-related activities.
- Keeps track and informs Management of development and trends in the local market situation.
- Maintain all hotel records and forms as prescribed.
- Attend meetings and briefings laid down by the General Manager and other department heads of the hotel.
- Ensures that all files and records of accounts are up-to-date and secure.
- Develop and update a set of position descriptions, specifications & performance standards for all Sales & Marketing personnel.
- Assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training, and development.
- Monitors closely the motivational climate of the staff, and keeps management fully informed of any developments.
- Meet with departmental trainers and training managers to discuss the training requirements and shortcomings on as monthly basis. Prepares monthly training plan.
- Conduct an evaluation of employees of the department and review their general performance and areas of improvement on a 6-monthly basis.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments.

EMPLOYEE HANDLING (GENERAL)
- Respond to any changes in the Sales & marketing function as dictated by the industry, company, or hotel.
- Maintain a cordial relationship with relevant Tourism and Government Authorities and the Travel Industry
- Operate the department following set policies and procedures.
- Establish an environment that promotes growth opportunities, upward mobility, and discipline, through various incentive programs.
-Undertakes other projects/assignments given by the General Manager from time to time.





REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Male/Female. Age between 35-45 yearso old.
2. Bachelor's degree in any related field.
3. At least 10 years of experience as Sales & Marketing Director/Asst. of Director/Sr. Manager from hotel & resort industry.
4. Intermediate level of English
5. Required personal car & driver's license.
6. Able to travel to Khaoyai upon request. (Occationally) *Travel allowance can be reimbursed.
