The position is responsible for performing the Control and Instrumentation maintenance activities related to the power and utilities generating facility, C&I discipline hand on skill. The position works within the boundaries of instruction manual, procedure, all established Maintenance management programs and apply strategies related to his trade.
1. Periodic and non-periodic Maintenance
- Execute preventive and corrective, periodic and non-periodic maintenance tasks.
2. Periodic Tests and Inspections
- Execute periodic tests and inspections on plant systems either imposed by legislation or to prove equipment reliability and availability.
3. Maintenance and Inspection Plan
- Work with software based periodic maintenance and inspection plan when directed.
- Identifies and may resolve or make recommendations for standard problems with devices, and systems through inspection and maintenance, or after system/equipment installation/failure
4. Spare Parts and Consumables
- Advise the maintenance supervisor on the purchase of spare parts and consumables.
5. Planned Outages
- Assist the maintenance supervisor and conduct the work in the preparation of the planned outages.
6. Maintenance procedures
- Follow maintenance procedures and makes recommendations for updates.
7. Permit to Work
- Review work instruction and establish job safety analysis with recommended action to eliminate Health & Safety and operational risk.
- Handle the malfunction reporting and intervention demands following the permit to work system and safety procedures.
8. Training
- Propose training program subjects according to his needs.
9. Personal Development
- Ownership and responsibility for self development and learning while pro-actively engage in formal and informal self-assessment processes.
10. Ensure compliance with GPSC Group Security, Safety, Occupational Health and Environment Policy
11. Complete other jobs as assigned by management

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- Male or Female, Age 25-35 years old
- Bachelor of Electrical, Electronic or Controls and Instruments Engineering
- Entry Level (2 to 5 years)
- Electronics aptitude, not afraid to get “hands on” and dirty, desire to learn C&I skills and trade and an ability and desire to communicate internally and externally.
- Responding to emergency situations:
- Being available “on call” 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Using proper tools, diagnostic and testing equipment and material ensuring electronic repair is accomplished in short notice.
- Working side by side with contractor employee.
- Responding to major inspection:
- Flexibility to work in shift rotating up to 12 or 16 hrs. with 30 days per outage for supporting of machine critical parts inspection and replacement
- Occasionally supporting external control system experts.
- Conscientious and informed while engaged in work permitting lock out, tag out of C&I systems
- Paying special attention towards periodic and non-periodic mechanical maintenance tasks, (preventive & corrective maintenance)
- Trouble shoots mechanical systems, equipment and components
- Retrieve from the warehouse inventory system consumables and spare parts
- Execute periodic electrical tests and inspections on plant systems, (as imposed by legislation or to demonstrate equipment reliability and availability)
