JOB DETAIL

- Design, provision, deploy, and manage infrastructure in one or more cloud environments
- Continuous analysis and monitoring of running environments
- Contributing code, specifically IaC using Terraform, to projects
- Guiding a project team
- Ensure our code is clean, accurate and adherent to best practices through code reviews (as needed for IaC)
- Help enhance our CI/CD process and capabilities
- Improve and enforce backup and recovery best practices and policies
- Advise and instruct junior DevOps engineers in order to advance development skills
- Manage keys, certificates, and domains
- Communicate with internal leadership and external clients
- Occasionally contribute to project estimation and scope definition of incoming projects
- Occasionally interviewing incoming candidates
- Consult clients on solution options
- Occasional team presentations
- Apply skills across practice areas

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

Education/Experience:

- 5+ years of development experience
- 1+ years of experience leading project teams of 1 to 3 developers
- Professional certifications from AWS, GPC, or Azure

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Certification in one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience using cloud platform-specific pipeline tools like Amazon CodePipeline, Azure Pipelines, Google CloudBuild or Cloud Hosting
- While not a requirement, we are looking closely at candidates with proven IaC skills using Terraform
- Experience writing CI/CD pipelines for Bitbucket, GitHub, and/or using Jenkins
- Proven ability to successfully lead project teams
- Windows and Linux operating systems knowledge
- Experience planning and architecting cloud solutions
- Experience with Scrum methodology
- Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
- It is a plus to have one or more backend programming languages
- Experience mentoring and supporting others to advance development skills
- Works well independently as well as in team settings
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills oriented around trouble resolution and root cause analysis
- Communicates well to internal and external teams and stakeholders
- Good command of English
