Process Ownership
● Leads all aspects of P2P in the ERP project, including the purchase of Seed (Produced, 3rd party and
Purchased), other Direct Materials, and Services & Indirect Materials, Accounts Payable, Inventory
Valuation, Supplier data management
● Ensures a solution is created for standard practices and advanced (current or future) needs - e.g.
pre-payment, payment based on quality results, P2P when using VMI, triangular flows, systems
integrated with suppliers
● Co-ordinates resources and activities to deliver process mapping, data analysis, blueprint designing,
training, testing and other activities as needed to design and implement the required P2P functionality
● Is the key decision maker on what is needed and what is not needed in the to-be solution, working
closely with functional leaders to ensure their buy in.
● Understands current processes, functional needs and system capabilities and translates these into a
single, comprehensive solution
● Drives standardisation across Countries and alignment between functions
● Hands on engagement and leadership of the Stream. Will need to be able to explain, justify and
demonstrate each aspect of the chosen solution
● Provides direction on Best Practices in P2P from their own knowledge and through functional leaders.
Project Management & Change Management
● Leads the P2P Stream within the overall ERP project, translating ERP activities and timelines into a
specific plan for O2C and organising resources / activities to deliver the agreed plan
● Leads the resources from all functions assigned to the P2P ERP Stream. Sets priorities, provides
day to day guidance, manages performance and ensures the completion of stream activities.
● As a visible advocate for change, this role promotes the ERP project, takes time to explain what
benefits it will bring and takes the time to bring stakeholders on board and address their concerns. Is
also a strong advocate for the Functions involved in P2P, making sure their needs are fully served.
Liaises closely with the Change Manager to co-ordinate activities
Cross Functional Liaison
● Leads ERP P2P as a cross functional stream and ensures all Functions feel engaged, heard and
served by the Stream. Is not seen as representing one Function.
● Works closely with Functional leaders (outside of ERP Core Team) to ensure functional best practices
are incorporated in the solution, while balancing the desire for bespoke solutions with the need to
remain as close as possible to the standard system functionality
Resource Development
● Coaches and develops EWS resources to improve both their functional knowledge and their ability to
lead projects / change / systems usage
● Identifies talent (within ERP team or beyond) and collaborates with functional leaders to give these
talents exposure and development
● Works closely with functional leaders to align on the implications of the ERP project on organization
design, resource skill requirements and identify suitable resources and training needs to ensure the
successful operation of the to-be solution
