JOB DETAIL

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the new brunch of Japanese restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role leads the service team, maintains high standards of food quality and hygiene, and ensures a positive dining experience for all customers. The position requires flexibility to work shifts and 6 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate front-of-house and service teams to deliver excellent customer experience.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
• Monitor team performance, control costs, and manage P&L to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally and promptly.
• Manage staff scheduling, shift planning, and manpower allocation to support 6-day operations.
• Train and develop team members in service standards, product knowledge, and Japanese hospitality (Omotenashi).
• Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and efficient service flow.
• Oversee inventory control, ordering, stock management, and supplier coordination.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and local laws.
• Prepare operational reports including sales reports, staff performance, and KPI tracking.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Japanese premium cuisine.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Good understanding of restaurant financial management (cost control, budgeting, P&L).
• Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and 6 days per week, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good command of English
