Looking for an Assistant R&D Manager, who will be in charge of beverage development, ranging from concept making, test, QA, and post-launch support, as well as team management.

1) Product concept development with Planning team
• Defining the product concept and key features
• Prototype creation to visualize and clarifying product features

2) Feasibility Analysis
• Assess the technical, financial, and operational feasibility (ingredients, processing, food safety, and regulatory.)
• Assessing potential risks/issues of the new products.

3) Cross-functional coordination and time management
• Working with other teams (Planning team, R&D Japan team, Supplier/3rd party, Manufacturer, and public government authorities)
• Planning and reporting progress of work and addressing any issues that arise

4) Product Testing
• Perform experimental shelf life, conduct experiment (both laboratory and pilot scale), physical and chemical lab analysis, result analysis and report writing

5) Manufacturing and production
• Monitoring production processes and addressing any issues that may arise
• Visit factory for product test (in Thailand and overseas)

6) Regulatory compliance and Quality assurance
• Ensuring that the product complies with relevant regulations and standards
• Obtaining necessary certifications and approvals
• Implementing quality control processes to ensure the product meets specified standards
• Conducting testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues

7) Post-Launch support
• Monitoring product performance and customer feedback
• Monitor new product from competitor

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

Their main products are beverages -Candidates with strong background in beverages are the most preferred.

• Intermediate level of English (used in the office, with Japanese expats.)
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Food Science / Food Technology / Agri-Industry / Product Development.
• Must have at least 5 years of beverage development experience. (Any types of beverage is fine)
• Must have team management experience
• Working experience in beverage manufacturing industry and/or similar product categories.

Advantage if you have:
• Professional experience or knowledge of New Product Development, Quality control, Beverage/Food process, Raw and package material quality management, Cost computation, and Thailand/International Food regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in Japanese
