The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all machinery, equipment, and facilities within the factory. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The Engineering Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Equipment and Machinery Management:
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all machinery and equipment in the factory.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan for all machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Schedule routine maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for spare parts procurement and service contracts.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and anticipate maintenance needs.

Facilities Management:
• Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the factory facilities, including building structures, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety or maintenance issues.
• Collaborate with the facilities team to implement improvements and upgrades as needed.

Team Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
• Foster a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability among team members.

Project Management:
• Plan and execute engineering projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, or modifications.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Participate in audits and inspections to demonstrate compliance with industry standards.

Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Budget Management:
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, including forecasting expenses and allocating resources effectively.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints while optimizing equipment performance.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and facilities maintenance.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to the food industry.
• Able to communicate in English both written and spoken.
