JOB DETAIL

This position is primarily responsible for managing export transactions in the Sea Freight Business Unit, including all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Besides, also responsible for setting priorities for the team, expediting transactions and tasks to meet customer expectations and government requirements, and monitoring the quality of service including documents produced by the team by performing the following duties.
Team of 10-15 staffs.

Position Purpose:
1. Lead a highly professional and motivated Customer Service team responsible for providing a customer focused approach in Sea Freight Export.
2. Coordinate department activities and special projects. Supervise CS staff in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
3. Supervise the Sea Export Customer Service processes and accomplish a pro-active approach throughout the Sea Export section.
4. Create and maintain relationships with customers and K Line Logistics overseas affiliated and colleagues.

Jobs/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
5. Manages and monitors the workload of each Sea Export Team member to ensure accuracy, and balance tasks among staff.
6. Monitors the team’s performance and identifies transactions, support CS teams in guidance and problem solving, allocate new accounts to individual team members, and tasks that require special handling or expediting.
7. Establishes workflow processes, reviews and revises these as needed in accordance with customer needs, Company standards and ISO policies /assigns work to staff, monitor section performance and ensure section KPIs are reach.
8. Responsible for product operational and sales activities as assigned by Sales Team and/or General Manager.
9. Ensures the timeliness of Billing, File Closing, Document Turnover and Booking as well as Monthly Reporting for Senior Management.
10. Ensures Company compliance of all applicable local and international laws, regulations, and legal obligations.
11. Ensures that the staff is properly trained and handles shipments in compliance with AFR (Japan), ISF & AMS (USA) regulations.
12. Oversees, trains and advises team members and clients in areas of export administration regulations, consular regulations, other government agency regulations, billing system, accounting procedures and export services.
13. Reviews and audits work process.
14. Coordinate with Sea carriers and consolidators for space bookings and equipment to meet committed service levels, negotiates rates with providers i.e., Carriers, NVOCC.
15. Responds to rate requests received from clients and overseas offices/agents.
16. Performs / supervises timely closing/billing (invoice release) & accountability for profit of all shipments assigned.
17. Responsibilities include participating in the interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work processes; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
18. Joint visits with Marketing & Sales to existing customers upon request.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Male/Female. Age between 30-40 years old
2. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field.
3. At least 5 years of experience in 'Sea-Export Freight Forwarding' industry with minimum 3 years in management leve with subordinate at least 5 persons.
4. Good understanding of AFR (Japan), ISF & AMS (USA) regulations as well as knowledge of all other government agency regulations governing Sea Export shipments.
5. have knowledge of Incoterms, ISO 9001 procedures and hazardous materials regulations.
6. Intermediate level of English
