Job Summary
The Retail Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day retail operations to ensure consistent execution of company standards across all stores. This role focuses on store performance, staff training, retail quality, product display execution, and operational excellence, working closely with HQ teams and store management to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Retail Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily retail operations across assigned stores to ensure smooth and efficient execution
- Monitor store KPIs including sales performance, productivity, service quality, and operational compliance
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvement plans to enhance store efficiency and profitability
- Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure adherence to company policies and standards
2. Training & People Development
- Plan and manage training programs for store staff and store managers
- Ensure retail staff are well-trained in product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures
- Coach store managers on leadership, performance management, and team development
- Support onboarding and continuous skill development for retail teams
3. Retail Quality & Customer Experience
- Ensure consistent customer experience across all stores
- Monitor service quality and resolve operational or service-related issues
- Implement retail quality control standards and follow up on corrective actions
- Handle operational issues affecting customer satisfaction
4. Product Display & In-Store Execution
- Ensure product display standards and planograms are correctly executed at store level
- Monitor product arrangement, pricing display, promotional materials, and cleanliness of selling area
- Coordinate with HQ teams on campaign execution, product launches, and in-store promotions
- Conduct display checks during store visits and provide clear guidance to store teams
- Ensure display execution supports sales performance and brand guidelines
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with HQ functions such as HR, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Support store openings, renovations, and operational improvement projects
- Prepare operational reports and provide insights to management
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail operations, preferably from chain retail businesses
- Strong experience in store operations, staff training, retail quality management, and product display execution
- Experience managing multiple stores or regions is highly preferred
- Good understanding of retail KPIs, store operations, and display standards
- Good communication skills in Thai and English (spoken and written)
- Able to travel to stores nationwide as required
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills
Preferred Background (Thailand Market Fit)
- Experience from electronics, fashion, lifestyle, beauty, or FMCG retail chains
- HQ-based role supporting store operations across Thailand
- Familiar with Thailand retail environment and operational practices
