1. Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a finance team with a clear reporting structure.
Set objectives and KPIs, monitor performance, and foster continuous improvement.
Develop technical, communication, and management skills within the team.

2. Financial Strategy & Planning
Design and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monitor financial performance.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Provide insights and analysis to management and board to support decisions.

4. Control & Governance
Establish and maintain strong financial controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks.

5. Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local laws, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Manage financial risks with effective controls and practices.

6. Strategic Financial Leadership
Act as a business partner by providing financial insights.
Identify cost-saving, revenue growth, and efficiency opportunities.

7. Treasury & Cash Management
Proactively manage cash flow and banking relationships.
Secure guarantees and facilities as needed.

8. Investment & Capital Planning
Optimize working capital with internal/external stakeholders.
Evaluate and assess investment opportunities and capital projects.

9. Stakeholder Management
Build strong internal and external relationships.
Represent the company in financial negotiations.

10. Continuous Improvement & Systems
Drive efficiency and implement best practices in finance processes.
Support/lead financial system implementation and provide training.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or MBA preferred.
10+ years of finance experience, including 5+ years in shipping or logistics.
Strong expertise in shipping operations, cost structures, and international trade finance.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
