JOB DETAIL
Our client is recruiting an experienced and versatile Account Manager (AM) responsible for leading project-specific Chinese client management and growth. The Account Manager will service existing clients on a project or retainer basis, and coordinate with other downstream departments to address various campaign initiatives. In addition, this individual will explore revenue-generating opportunities through sales of our existing portfolio of products and services, as well as develop strategies and creative ideation for commercial clients. Reporting to an Account Director, this role will work closely with our internal teams to build proposals that address a client’s needs and objectives, as well as explore additional products or services to brand partners that leverage core competencies. This position will be highly client-facing (so a passion for dealing with people is a must) and requires an organized and creative mindset to develop solutions for our brand partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client + Project Management
• Be the key point of contact for all projects under the specific client, as well as coordinate, motivate, and follow up with team members in a timely and professional manner
• Provide day-to-day management of clients and their requests including presentations, documentation, and client activity administration
• Be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and handling strategic issues or problem resolution
• Liaise proactively to cultivate strong relationships at all levels of the client structure, strengthening client relationships for long-term servicing
• Effectively manage the Accounts team and other unit functions to implement projects smoothly
• Communicate with clients and gather information about a project’s scope, budget and timelines, and then negotiate terms and conditions to secure the opportunity
• Develop project budgets based on proposed concepts, and monitor said budgets to maximize margins
• Coordinate with other internal and external teams or agencies to ensure streamlined communications and efficient execution of the specified project
• Prepare captivating proposals and decks for client presentations based on creative ideas and proposal objectives
• Be a valued partner of the client and provide proactive assistance and perspectives on the local markets and ways in which the client may achieve success
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines based on aligned timelines
Strategy / Creative
• Be a valued partner that provides account planning and strategic support to clients
• Understand industry/market trends and inform clients of successful strategies within the industry to deliver effective results over the long term
• Prepare and lead appropriate client briefs for internal stakeholders, mainly strategy, creative and delivery teams
• Work with the Creative team to ensure the quality of creative responses, maintain motivation and working processes, and provide creative arbitration
• Supervise project briefings (written and actual) and subsequent client approval
Other Miscellaneous
• Develop a comprehensive overview of the audience, the local market, and client landscapes, including understanding passion points, trends, topline brand focus and other key statistics
• Participate in other ad hoc duties as required to build the business
• Perform all necessary duties in both English and Thai (and Chinese, if applicable)
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
• 3-6+ years experience in accounts, business development, or marketing communications role
• Fearless and persistent personality; won’t take no for an answer
• A creative mindset that can think big picture and also execute little things
• Impactful presentation skills and charisma in leading conversations, and quick-thinking to lead meetings
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and creative problem-solving skills
• Able to put together proposals and decks for client presentations
• Superb multi-tasking, organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups, including large matrix teams running simultaneous projects
• Very comfortable with numbers, math and financial analyses
• Work well in a fast-paced environment, and adapt quickly to meet deadlines
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate colleagues thru trust, teamwork, and support to achieve objectives
• Good command of Microsoft Office or MacOS, with a particular proficiency in excel/numbers and powerpoint/keynote
• Existing rolodex of client/brand contacts a plus
• Native fluency in Thai, and a strong command of English. Working knowledge of Chinese a plus
