The CNC Tooling Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the tooling systems used in CNC machining operations. This role ensures high precision, efficiency, and productivity in manufacturing processes by optimizing tool selection, programming strategies, and machining parameters.

1.) Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures for CNC machining processes.
2.) Select appropriate cutting tools and tool holders for different materials and components.
3.) Optimize CNC programs (G-code) for improved tool life, cycle time, and product quality.
4.) Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve machining challenges.
5.) Analyze tool wear and performance data to recommend improvements.
6.) Support new product introductions by preparing CNC setup sheets and tooling plans.
7.) Evaluate and test new tooling technologies or suppliers.
8.) Maintain tooling documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
9.) Provide technical training and support to machine operators and technicians.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

1.) Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
2.) Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC tooling or machining environments.
3.) Strong knowledge of CNC machines (lathe, milling, multi-axis).
4.) Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, NX).
5.) Familiarity with GD&T, machining tolerances, and material properties.
6.) Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
7.) Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
