JOB DETAIL
You will lead the overall performance and strategic direction of our toy retail operations across Thailand. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring comprehensive oversight of retail operations, sales, team development, and financial outcomes. You will act as the primary decision-maker for the Thailand team while ensuring alignment with regional leadership based in Singapore.
Your mission is to drive business growth, maximize store performance, elevate team capabilities, and lead strategic collaboration across internal and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive the growth and success of the toy retail business in Thailand.
• Align with the CEO (Thailand HQ) and coordinate closely with the Regional Director (Singapore HQ).
• Set annual business goals, including sales, profit, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Analyze market dynamics, customer trends, and competitor activities to uncover growth opportunities.
Retail Operations & Store Excellence
• Lead retail operations nationwide, including merchandising, inventory, visual presentation, and in-store execution.
• Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding customer service and operational excellence across all locations.
• Monitor store performance using key metrics (e.g., sales, traffic, conversion, satisfaction) and implement data-driven improvements.
Sales Strategy & Performance
• Set sales targets across all channels and product lines on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Drive sales strategy, promotions, and campaigns to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Track sales performance vs forecasts and initiate timely corrective actions when needed.
• Partner with marketing and merchandising teams to develop pricing strategies and promotional initiatives.
People Leadership & Talent Development
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including retail, operations, and head office staff.
• Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture throughout the organization.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
Financial Management & Reporting
• Manage the full P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with support from the finance team.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to the CEO and regional leadership.
• Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and drive sustainable profitability.
Regional Alignment & Cross-Border Collaboration
• Serve as the key liaison between the Thailand business unit and the regional office in Singapore.
• Provide regular updates, business insights, and strategic proposals to regional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-border teams in merchandising, supply chain, marketing, and finance.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, business unit leadership, or general management roles.
• Demonstrated success in managing multi-location retail operations with full P&L accountability.
• Experience in the toy, lifestyle, or consumer goods retail sector is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively with both local and regional stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Strong grasp of key retail metrics, POS systems, and operational KPIs.
• Skilled in business planning, sales forecasting, and utilizing performance dashboards.
• Ability to interpret financial data and translate insights into strategic actions.
• Familiarity with retail ERP systems, inventory management tools, and CRM platforms is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Strong leadership capabilities with excellent decision-making and communication skills.
• Strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
• Highly adaptable with a proactive, problem-solving attitude and a customer-first focus.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Service-oriented and solution-focused, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, particularly in a regional or cross-border context.
• Fluency in both English and Thai, written and spoken, is required.
