JOB DETAIL
Safety Regulations
• Ensure safety procedures are being observed. Ensure plant is compliant with all stated, regulatory and company.
• Investigate and identify root causes of any facility safety or security incident or environmental regulation non-compliance in order to prevent reoccurrence of similar incident.
• Develop strategies for preparing and implementing the company Management System in order to ensure product quality and food safety as defined by Company requirements.
Production Management
• Review production equipment and implement new ideas to improve manufacturing efficiency and at the same time watching out for the safety.
• Submit work orders to maintenance for repairs and/or modifications needed on the equipment or safety related
• Manage and escalate customer service issues and improvements
• Manage manpower planning and machine utilization within the site.
• Ensure standardization of product formula and make necessary changes when instructed by QA.
• Investigate and resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
• Select, supervise, and develop production personnel.
• Develop production/operational goals based on actual and projected customer needs, and investigate any cause, and possible solutions to any problems
• Order production supplies, and sanitation materials
Process Improvement
• Develop and analyze budget and planned forecast, reporting routinely as necessary and identifying cost savings opportunities.
• Develop process improvement initiatives involving external suppliers, functional peers, account teams and/or cross-functional teams.
• Complete daily production statistical reports including, kilogram per labor hour, over time, carton per hour, total kilogram, and total hours used, and manage weekly schedule.
• Maintain product, packaging and material availability using analytical tools and reports such as demand forecasts, historical orders and software tools in order to recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards.
Functional & Technical Skills:
• Production Management: Knowledge of production management in order to effectively communicate and manage the production or change in a production environment.
• Process Improvement: Ability to coordinate and collaborate cross-functionally. Put efforts around process improvement. Should have ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions that will improve the quality and productivity.
• Occupational Safety Regulations: Knowledge of the Company, local, national and international regulatory requirements that apply to the company or processes and the actions required to keep the Company in compliance with these regulations.
• Good Manufacturing Practices: Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing environment and the ability to apply them.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Requirement
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Has production/manufacturing experience, in frozen shrimp industry. is very preferably
• 10+ years supervisory experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams showing improvement in plant KPIs.
• Requires experience managing, coaching people, and budgets.
• Working knowledge of the principles of manufacturing management.
• Working knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement
